She may have broken the speed of sound, but last week Concorde 216 was towed slowly and carefully into her new home.

Having sat on the runway at Filton, Bristol for 13 years and being exposed to the elements, Concorde now sit in its own hanger – a museum is being created around her to ensure this amazing feat of engineering can be enjoyed by generations to come

After 3 years in the planning, a team of aviation experts worked with Bristol haulier Kings Heavy Haulage to make sure the journey along the now dis-used runway went smoothly. There was little room for error entering the hanger with just inches to spare getting Concorde into position.
