Leading UK logistics company C M Downton lends its branding to fictional haulage company in new ITV drama, The Level.

The Level is a bold six-part thriller for ITV from BAFTA award-winning indie Hillbilly Television with an all-star cast.

The crime drama depicts the life of Detective Sergeant Nancy Devlin, who is living a secret double life, starring Karla Crome, Laura Haddock, Noel Clarke, Robert James-Collier and Amanda Burton.

The firm’s major hub in Dunstable was almost unrecognisable as it was transformed into Le Saux Haulage, the fictional haulage company of shady businessman and drugs trafficker, Frank Le Saux played by Philip Glenister.

Warehouse Operatives Steve Randall and Debbie Gilmore were selected as extras in the programme.

Dunstable depot manager Tony Mills said “It was an absolute pleasure to have been chosen as a filming location for such an exciting project, and I know Steve and Debbie are excited to be making their TV debut. There were many challenges juggling our delivery and filming schedules which demanded absolute silence, but we’re glad to have been able to accommodate the film crew. I’ve already set my television to record!”

The Level airs on ITV at 9pm on Friday 30th September.
